A fantastic woman

Today´s post is about one of my favorite movies. Although I've never liked to choose favorites in any topic, because is really hard to choose, this time I’m going to write about a Chilean movie called La mujer fantastica (The fantastic woman).  This is a 2017 film directed by Sebastian Lelio, and starring Daniela Vega. The film tells the history of Marina, a transgender woman and who faces the sudden death of her loving partner. The movie develops the subject of how transgender people are exposed to daily difficulties, which for the rest of the people outside the LGTBI community are often not visible. The issue of inheritance, work, legal processes, family ties and the right to say good bye to the loved ones, are topics that are reflected throughout the movie.

Personally, I really loved this movie because it shows such an important subject in the actuality. Besides, the film shows beautiful places of Santiago city, and the performances are amazing.

Is important to know that this movie was nominated and won a lot of prizes, including the Goya and the Oscar Prizes.

If you haven´t watch this movie yet, I really recommend you do it.
