My practice in SernamEG

In this post I'm going to talk about the thing that I been doing the last three weeks, that is my practice, one of the last steps to finish my career.

I start working on the National Woman and Gender Equality Service that is a governmental department of our country. This is located in the city center, near to La Moneda, that is the presidential palace.

This service was created on 1991, and the missions are protected and promote women's rights, and also the regard of sexual diversity.

SernamEG has four principal departments: Violence Against Women, Laboral Integration, Participation and Citizenship, and The Good Living of Sexuality and Reproduction.

I work in this last department, and I think that is the most fun, because is a topic that includes sexual diversity and promote the physical autonomy of people. I think that integral sexuality is a topic that fortunately has opened the doors to discuss and promote sexual rights, especially rights of women and sexual dissent groups.

This program works in all the regions of Chile, specifically in 32 communes (only two in Metropolitan Region).

I´m working on the central level, which directs the work on all this communes.

My work consists in write a national inform about the activities the activities carried out this year on all the communes.

In these weeks I had been learning a lot about how the public service works, so I´m very happy whit this experience.
